"I bought the piano second hand from a music teacher in Denver who purchased it new from Wells Music. After I moved from Denver to Silverthorne I had a certified Steinway technician remove the keyboard component and take it back to their store and completely refurbish the keyboard with new bushings and anything else that was needed. I was told that this year's model sometimes had bushings trouble though I did not experience that. Just wanted the piano to be in the best condition. I was told they also regulated the action but don't know what that entails. I have it tuned periodically every time the piano tuner for the NRO (National Repertory Orchestra) comes up from Denver. It has not been tuned for about a year. The tuner told me that the string pins were tight and there were no problems there. He also said the sound board did not have any cracks.
I love this piano and have had many wonderful years playing it but can no longer do so. The base is rich and the treble is brilliant. It is always covered when not being played to keep it dust free.
